(Renewable energy marketer) Spring Break

Spring break - well, the theory is you’ve worked hard in school and need a break…but even if thats only half true, enjoy your time and be safe

Check out our Spring Break specials whether you are college students or a family looking for that special vacation spot. We offer cheap fares on all Spring Break destinations whether you are traveling abroad or to a nearby state. Be sure to make your travel arrangements months in advance. Remember that traveling during Spring Break is a very busy time of year because most schools take their vacations around the same time. The longer you wait to book your vacation the possibility of getting your desired hotel and flight times will be limited. Getting a passport takes time as well, so if you are planning to travel to another country be sure to do this well in advance. Flying Sunday through Wednesday are the less crowded days to travel. Making your reservations so that you can travel during these times will allow a less chaotic experience getting to and from your destination.

The best way to come across great locations to visit are from family and friends. They can tell you which restaurants they would recommend and what there is to do. They will also be able to tell you what to watch out for while you are there. Once you have decided where to go for your trip you should do some research on your own. You will want to familiarize yourself with all that is available to do. If you would like to take day trips while you are there you might need to rent a car. We offer inexpensive rates for car rentals at Quickreservation. If you will be traveling to another country you need to take caution and find out if it’s alright to drink the water and what foods you should avoid. Do your research to help your vacation run as smooth as possible.

If you know that you will be calling home while you’re away you should contact your cell phone provider. Many people have come home from trips to find out that they were charged double or triple for their long distance calls. If it is not included in your calling plan you might want to purchase phone cards before you leave to save you money.

Whenever you travel you should always spread your money around. Never carry it together. When you head out for the day bring along just what you think you will need. Separate that money into different pockets. Leave your credit cards, travelers checks and other cash in the hotel safe.

Students want to have a partying Spring Break experience that they will never forget. In order for this to happen they need to be safe. Too many times you hear of students getting hurt or coming up missing. Keep in mind the following to assure a fun and memorable experience.

Never EVER go anywhere alone. The more people you have with you the safer you will be. Be sure that you have one person in your group at all times that is sober. This person can make sure that no one will leave an establishment with a stranger. When drinking and your judgement becomes impaired you are apt to do things you normally wouldn’t do. Take turns being the designated “friend watcher” and be prepared to take some flack.

Never leave your drink unattended. Predators hang out in areas where they know that alcohol is involved and impairment will help them get their victim. Predators don’t have a tattoo on their forehead to let you know they are out to get you. They come in all shapes and sizes so it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Condom, condom, condom! In case you didn’t catch that - Condom! One time without a condom can ruin your life. Sexually transmitted diseases are an easy thing to get that no one wants. Don’t remember your Spring Break as a time you caught a disease.. remember it as the time you partied hardy with your friends!

Obama: Introducing Scholarships for Single Mothers

By Fred Jackson

Having to take care of their families on their own, single, working mothers have perhaps the toughest job of all. For many moms higher education is only a wish or a goal that has to be put on hold in order to take care of other responsibilities. With his new administration, however, President Obama is encouraging moms to make their education a priority. Obama scholarships will give working mothers a great chance to improve their futures.

Obama, whilst encouraging people of all ages to seek higher education, is urging working moms in particular to participate in his Scholarships for Moms program. Building on The Scholarships for Moms program, is the federal government’s abiding offer of Pell grants. The most commonly applied for forms of aid for students going to college are Pell grants, applied for through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. To encourage more mothers to return to school, the Obama administration is making some changes now.

The biggest incentive is the amount of money that is being offered for the Scholarships for Moms program. The maximum amount awarded through Pell grants is about $4,000 per student. That amount is increased to $5,000 for mothers who apply to the program. The goal of these grants is to allow working moms to return to school and earn a degree that allows them to better provide for their families now and in the future. In addition, the administration hopes that equipping mothers to earn more money as working professionals will also be a stimulus to the economy. Moms can receive an education without worrying about the costs of school or having to pay back money for a loan.

Another great incentive for moms considering this program is that it applies to enrollment in nearly any type of higher education institution. Four-year universities are covered as well as smaller community colleges. You can choose to go to a private school or a public one. If staying on campus isn’t an option, then busy moms can study through online courses. The government’s Scholarships for Moms program really is a comprehensive attempt to get eager mothers back into the classroom.

The Obama scholarship attempts to take a lot of the worry out of returning to school. In almost any area of interest working moms can earn a degree, thus they can be fully equipped to provide for their families. Higher education doesn’t have to be an unfulfilled wish or an unobtainable goal any longer. The Scholarships for Moms program is designed to help create a brighter future for mothers and their children.

Obama Grants: What will they do to Encourage Moms to Get a Degree

By Fred Jackson

Although higher education is important, there are often a number of obstacles that can hinder potential students from enrolling in college. Family obligations and financial concerns are often at the top of this list, especially for single mothers. Obama grants, which are meant to encourage mothers to return to college to earn a degree, attempt to ease some of the concerns associated with going to college.

In many cases, the purpose of federal grants is to help disadvantaged groups to attend college. An endowment often given to low-income students, is the federal Pell grant. As the Obama administration has stated that it places a high priority on education, the benefits of Pell grants have been augmented in order to be a greater help to potential students. In particular, working moms are especially encouraged to apply for the Scholarships for Moms program, which is just a title given to a portion of the standard Pell grant program. Equipping low-income mothers to earn a degree will provide a stimulus to the lagging economy, the administration believes, and also be a great benefit to the families of those mothers, as a result of which will be an increase in their earning power in the work force.

Although $5,000 from a Pell grant may not seem like a lot of money, when you consider the high cost of education these days, it should help defray the other expenses associated with going to college. As well as books, supplies, and housing, a student has also travelling expenses to pay. For single moms, these miscellaneous expenses may also include childcare. Another great characteristic of the Pell grant award is that the money awarded does not necessarily have to be applied to college tuition. As long as the expense can be seen to be necessary to obtaining an education, it can be covered by the grant money.

In conclusion, this program doesnt cater specifically to traditional students. It provides opportunity for traditional and non-traditional students alike. Just as welcome as a student who is fresh out of high school, are mothers who want to return to college to earn a degree. Consideration is given equally to potential students who would prefer to go to a small community college as well as mothers who would like to stay home and take care of their children while taking online courses. All willing students are able to earn a degree that will provide them with significant opportunity in the job market, and this is the most crucial factor.

An effort by the current administration to show that education truly is the key to a bright future are Obama grants. Everyone from young adults to working mothers has a chance to go to college, by the allocation of a significant amount of money to pay for education.
